CCSS CLUB NEWS

Presidents Message:

Well, it has been a very hot summer, and I don't know about you, but I am looking forward to a cooling trend with lots of snow for fun on the slopes.

We have some great plans for this year, and there is a lot of important information in this newsletter, so I will be brief so you don't get bored and miss something important.

First of all, plan to come to the first meeting with your check book to take advantage of many good deals.  We will be collecting yearly dues, and bulk ticket money, deposits for all of our trips, as well as selling Entertainment books.  We will also be holding a raffle.  That's right, the raffle for the K-2 Skis that we received last year from Sugarloaf.  Just think a brand new pair of skis for the new season could be yours.  Come take a chance! YOU MUST BE PRESENT AT THE MEETING TO BUY THE RAFFLE TICKETS AND WIN THE SKIS!!!  We are also going to have our annual long sub sandwich kick off for the season, so come on out and have dinner on us.

I would also like to inform you that Christina Roder has stepped up to the plate, and offered to take over the Ticket Coordination this year. Everyone owes a debt of gratitude to Christina for doing this or we would not have been able to sell bulk tickets this year.  If you see her, thank her!

Speaking of Tickets.  I must warn you all that two of the mountains that sold bulk tickets last year, Killington, and Mt. Snow, have decided to hold us to the percentage of returns.  They did not give the Council credit for all of the tickets returned, so we do not have all of the credit to return to you.  We decided to split the return credit for those mountains between all of the ticket holders that returned tickets for those mountains - EVENLY.  Please take a look at your ticket credit sheet enclosed for more details.

Well, keep reading for lots of information, and plan to come to our first meeting on Sept. 21 at 7:30 PM!

THINK SNOW!!!

Lois A. Krause, President CCSS
