Electronic Newsletter Update:
Until we are sure that our email system is set up correctly, everyone will receive a hard copy. We have some issues to overcome first. We don’t want to repeat what happened last year, when we attempted to email the newsletter. We are working towards having the newsletter linked to CCSS website prior to our monthly meetings. Keep an eye out for details.

Jan 8 – 13 2006. 20 people have committed to this trip.
First payment is due 10/19/05 (meeting

Club Logo Items
Can’t find that holiday gift for that special person? See Conrad Boudreau at the October and/or November meetings. He has sweatshirts, golf towels, turtlenecks, and hats available for purchase. Get them before they disappear!!!!
Presidents Message:
Well, we are off to a great start! Out Sept., meeting was very well attended and
we all got to eat for the second month in a row on the Club’s hospitality! The Grinders were great, and judging by the
leftovers, everyone had enough. Thank
you Sandi Knoll for bringing dessert, it was a nice ending to the meal! We also raffled off a new pair of K-2
skis. Everyone got a ticket that came to
the meeting and Mike Haynes, one of our MA members, won the raffle – and all he
had to do was show up! Congratulations
Mike! We also had a great sign up for
our respective trips this year. Our Feb.
11- 18 to Steamboat, CO is all sold out for us (at least out of Hartford). We
may have a few more slots open for Sugarloaf, ME for Jan. 8-13, and Jay Peak
March 24-26, but you have to contact (quickly) Marie Carparelli or Mark Zaza,
respectively, to get in on those trips.
Rich Cholewinski, President of the CT Ski
Council, will be at our meeting this month to talk about the advantages of
belonging to a Ski Club that belongs to the Council. He will also explain a bit about how the Council
works (and probably try to recruit people to participate in the Council). Please come and find out how we fit into the
larger picture, and ask Rich any questions you may have.
We will also be accepting any items you have
solicited for the raffle at the Snow Ball, selling Entertainment books and Logo
clothing items. We will also have
refreshments (which are being provided by Sandy Knoll this year), so come enjoy
with us. This time of the year, there
are a lot of things to hear about from our fellow members and from our Council
Reps., so come on out and get the answers.
One last note. CCSS will be 20 years young in the 2006-2007 season. The Board is looking for something special to commemorate our milestone. Please bring ideas to the October meeting – if you have artistic talent – look at future mailings for additional information regarding a special logo contest.
Think Snow!
