Presidents Message:

Well we have had one general meeting that I have presided over, and I believe it was quite productive. We had a lot to accomplish and we did so in record time. We had two programs, getting in Shape and our trip to Big Montana. Both programs seemed to be well received, and we will continue to bring great information to our members.

I would like to thank Marie Urbanetti from Court House Plus, for a great program (and I hope you all take advantage of the free passes she gave out). I would also like to thank Bill Dostar for a great presentation about Big Sky. It seems we have a few more people going now than we had before the meeting - Good Job Bill!!

At this month’s meeting, we will have Lisa Briganti and Barbara Amodio distributing the pre-paid discount tickets. Please come anticipating to listen as well as picking up your tickets, it could be beneficial to you!

Please remember we are having Ed, from Dusty and Ed’s Alpine House in Wethersfield, coming to this month's meeting, with a program about the latest winter sports equipment. We will hear more about our December 8th outing as well. Keep in mind that outing is at Dusty and Ed's Alpine House. The after store hours gathering is CCSS Members only and will allow us great discounts. Save some money for holiday presents!

I would also like to remind you to buy tickets to the SnowBall to be held Nov 20th, at the Colony in Vernon, CT. It is a great time, and there are some great prizes. If you haven't gotten a ticket as yet, you can always do so at the door for $25. It is a fun time. You might just win some great prizes, and certainly have a good time with club members or other Council members. Please try to come to cheer Ernie Marquez on, as he is our Ambassador this year! Our club is doing the Program for this year's ball, so we will be able to participate in all of the Council's benefits for the next 3 years.

I do want to thank Susan Rudd for the great donuts and cider for refreshments at last month’s meeting. Just a reminder that Ed Wianko is our Summer Activities Coordinator. If you have any suggestions for Ed, give him a call at (860) 644-8443.

Lets have another great time this month, and a great Ski Season!

THINK SNOW!!!

Lois A. Krause, President CCSS.

Gate Keepers Needed: It will be our turn to man the gates on the racecourse, on Dec 20th at Mt Southington. Contact Pete Krause to help.
