CCSS CLUB NEWS
Remember from the Presidents message last month, that the club received a pair of K2 skis from Sugerloaf. Well come to this months meeting to learn what the club plans to do with them.
Presidents Message:
Our February meetings (executive and general) were very productive. It seems that we have solved most of our problems with our newsletter, by sending them all out "snail mail" until we get everyone to tell us how they would prefer to get it sent to them. We decided to put the preference on our membership forms for next year, so when you sign up, you give your preference.
We are going to go back to all of our Bylaws, and I have commitments from most of our officers, to serve for two years as stated in the bylaws. That does not mean that if you volunteered for a smaller function this year that you will be required to do it again next year, but may people have even said they would be willing to do that too.
By the time you read this, the club group that took the club trip to Montana will have returned home (I'm one). I hope we had a good time, but I'm sure we did. It will also be the end of Monday night racing and On Snow Carnival. If anyone went, come out to the meeting and tell us how it was, and we will tell you about Montana.
People are still looking for tickets, and the club is out of them, so call Barbara Amodio and tell her you want to buy or sell tickets and she will put you in touch with those who want to buy or sell!
As I am writing this, it is a Friday night, and we are leaving for Montana tomorrow, and I have not packed anything yet, so this will be brief. There is plenty of snow out there, and more coming, so don't give up on Ski Season. The Ground Hog gave us at least 6 more weeks of Winter, so have some fun in the snow!
Come on out to the next meeting, and share some stories and tickets, hear about our new plans for the future, and have some homemade brownies (Russ Fisher said he would bake) !
THINK SNOW!!!
Lois A. Krause, President CCSS.
