Presidents Message:
First of all - Where has all the snow gone????
Next - I want to apologize to everyone who saw me at the Holiday Party and said, "You're not supposed to be here, you are supposed to be in Sugarloaf". The newsletter got out sooner than I thought, and I told everyone that we would be there when the newsletter arrived. The wonders of the US Mail!
By the way, I want to thank Jennifer Paliuca and Tom White for their great Holiday Party program of fun. We had a wonderful time with Ski Trivia and games for prizes and a raffle, etc. Thanks got to Chris Edelwich for making reservations and arranging food and room accommodations for the party - good job. Good Food - Good Fun was had by all. Great Job!!!!!
This newsletter is arriving early. That just means that you will have to come to the February meeting on the15th for more information about Council news. I will not be hosting - I will be on the Steamboat trip with the rest of the Council. Rick Paliuca, our Vice President will lead the way, hosting a fun Ski/Boarding movie, called "First Descent" - the history of Snowboarding.
There was an e-mail blast and there is a flier with this
newsletter, getting the word out for ON

Vice Presidents Message:
The February 15th meeting will be a different
format than our regularly scheduled club business meetings. It will be
"Movie Night." Many of the Snow Snakes will be in Steamboat that
week, so my son Eric and I will host a movie night instead. If it is available
on dvd by Feb 15, I plan to
show "First Descent" which we saw in the theater. It is an amazing
movie that traces the history of snowboarding and how it reinvigorated the ski
industry. The story evolves into the five best snowboarders in the world
jumping out of helicopters on HUGE peaks in
This fun meeting format is a good excuse to bring
the kids, and support the club. We will have plenty of snacks, and the
